TOP 10 ALBUMS OF 2015

It's time to look back at another solid year in rock 'n' roll music! Real music is still being made, and these 10 albums prove it. Here are Vigilante Detective's TOP 10 ALBUMS OF 2015:
- 1.
Third Eye Blind — Dopamine
It took six years for Third Eye Blind to release their fifth full length album, and it was worth the wait. Front man Stephen Jenkins still knows how to deliver catchy hooks with meaningful lyrics. KEY TRACKS: "Everything Is Easy" "Dopamine" "Rites of Passage" "Blade" "Exiles"
- 2.
Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds — Chasing Yesterday
Noel Gallagher is always asked if Oasis will ever get back together. His answer is always an emphatic "no" and this makes me super happy. We don't need Oasis when Noel is putting out solo material of this caliber. KEY TRACKS: "Riverman" "Lock All The Doors" "The Ballad of the Mighty I"
- 3.
Best Coast — California Nights
Another collection of sunny, melodic and catchy as hell pop rock songs. Bethany Cosentino's voice and melodies are still the main attraction. KEY TRACKS: "Feeling Ok" "Heaven Sent" "Sleep Won't Ever Come"
- 4.
Foo Fighters — Saint Cecilia EP
Foo Fighters came out of nowhere in November 2015 and released this 5-song EP for free on their website — the best songs the band had released in a few years. KEY TRACKS: "Saint Cecilia" "Sean" "Iron Rooster"
- 5.
Everclear — Black Is The New Black
Art Alexakis turns up the crunchy guitars to 11 and lets it rip. Pure Everclear hard rock riffs and melodies. KEY TRACKS: "The Man Who Broke His Own Heart" "American Monster" "Complacent"
- 6.
Tame Impala — Currents
An electronic, soul-infused trip down awesome lane — and most likely the only album on this list that would also appear on snooty indie rock best-of lists. KEY TRACKS: "Let It Happen" "Yes I'm Changing" "The Less I Know"
- 7.
Wavves — V
Like a mix of the Beatles and stoner rock. Their fifth album reflects Nathan Williams' strong songwriting abilities and punk rock sensibilities. KEY TRACKS: "Way Too Much" "Pony" "Heart Attack"
- 8.
Veruca Salt — Ghost Notes
The original lineup returns! Louise Post and Nina Gordon sound as potent and vital as they did on American Thighs in 1994. A triumphant comeback.
- 9.
The Menzingers — On the Impossible Past / Ramblin' Alone
These Philadelphia punk rockers delivered one of the most emotionally resonant rock records of the year — introspective, anthemic, and genuinely moving.
- 10.
Weezer — Everything Will Be Alright in the End
OK technically 2014, but it got heavy rotation in 2015. Rivers Cuomo in fine form, capturing the classic Weezer sound. A welcome return.
